I have been following Lou's Facebook page for awhile enjoying her ingenuity, creativeness, determination, and inspirational qualities. Now all of her insight is gathered together in one easy reference guide. This book answers every question you could have about bringing your dog along...especially one that is not acclimated to water. Informative and fun, and equally good at easing doubts or confirming reservations...it is not an option for all dogs and Lou is an expert at sorting it out. If you are a dog owner considering an adventure with your "hairy family member" I highly recommend the book which is full of little gems and expert dog training tips which will make your excursions totally enjoyable. This Woman has patience and is an excellent teacher.
I found this book, very inspiring. Having a Jack Russell, he can be a little much to handle some time, This book gave great ideas in several areas, whining, safety, redirections in behaviors. She gave a great recipe for dog treats, ways to make affordable clothing. My Jack Russell loves to go on the motor boat we have. After reading this book and seeing how the Lou and her dog kayaked to relax and to see things you can't see in a larger boat. I decided to get a kayak and give it a try. I love it and my dog also loves it, we are now making great memories together. This book gives you great ideas on how to make kayaking a rewarding memory for you and your dog. I can't wait to see if this Arthur continues to write about her and Tinys experiences.

Buy this book. It is a great technical guide to kayaking with your dog. It is also one woman's tale of triumph over loss and depression, and finding freedom and peace in her kayak with her faithful dog Tiny.
This is an enjoyable & informative book. The author does a good job describing what you need to do so your dog will like kayaking as much as hers does. The pictures certainly show that her dog is very comfortable & interested in his surroundings. Having seen some of her horse videos, I know she can train an animal to do most anything she wants it to.I like the way she trains her dog not to whine & bark – that must be appreciated by others that are out to enjoy their time on the water.Extras include neat ways to outfit your dog & kayak without breaking your budget. She even gives a recipe for dog biscuits that you can make yourself. Safety recommendations & ideas on what to take along are good even if you are not going to train your dog to come along with you.
